Since the year 2011, NPSET has been unwavering in its commitment to the holistic development of special children. Over the years, we have provided comprehensive care and support to hundreds of children, addressing their unique needs through intensive therapy and training. Our dedicated programs have successfully facilitated the integration of 16 children into mainstream schools, enabling them to smoothly transition into regular educational settings. Our impact reaches far beyond the classroom. The children who have benefited from our programs are now actively participating in mainstream social activities and achieving remarkable success. Many have excelled academically, attaining high marks in board examinations, while others have earned accolades in sports and music. Our support network extends across various regions, including Durgapur, Asansol, Raniganj, and nearby areas. At NPSET, we remain deeply committed to advancing our mission. We strive to provide every child with the highest level of care and the best opportunities for growth and success. Our ongoing efforts aim to empower special children to thrive both in their educational journeys and personal lives, ensuring a brighter future for each one.
Teaching aids are essential tools utilized by educators to enhance students' learning experiences and improve their skills in reading, comprehension, and understanding. At NPSET, our classrooms are equipped with various teaching aids, including flashcards, maps, cassettes, blackboards, and educational toys. In the context of special education, teaching aids play a crucial role in advancing learning skills. These tools facilitate direct experiences with the material, aid in the retention and recall of information, and significantly boost attention and interest among special children. By engaging with these aids, children are more likely to develop a deeper understanding and enthusiasm for learning. At NPSET, we are committed to continuously enhancing our teaching aids to support the overall development of special children. We regularly evaluate and upgrade our resources to ensure they effectively foster learning and engagement. Our goal is to maintain and expand our collection of teaching aids, creating an enriching educational environment that stimulates curiosity and supports the diverse needs of our students. Through these efforts, we strive to make learning a more interactive and enjoyable experience for every child.
It is a fact that the children with disability experiences greater level of bullying and isolation from peer group and mainstream society. The special children are mostly not participating in Games & Sports, Music & Mainstream Education. As our previous experiences says with very limited participants (Special Children), a good percentage of children having the ability to perform in Games & Sports, Music & Education. Some of our students have already proved themselves in State & National Level Competition of Games & Sports, Music and Education also. When a child birth with some disability, most of the parents either lost hope form the child and in some cases the parents are not aware about the process to overcome from the situation. This is also true fact that there are lots of poverty in our society and it’s quite difficult for a poor parents belonging in rural areas in India to search for help to improve the life of his / her Special Child. NPSET is working for the Awareness Generations of the parents by conducting Seminar, Meeting, Awareness Camps, and Distribution of Leaflets in urban and rural areas of West Bengal. We have already done lots of such activities in various places of Durgapur, Asansol, Burdwan & in Bankura District.
NPSET is continuously arranging Excursion Program for Special Children with there parents also in every year. This program helps a lot in mental development of those children. We are also conducting Publicity Programme like Annual Function & Celebration of National and International Days. We also used to organize a sit and draw competition in open air every ear and our students also participate in that event. These type of programme helps a lot in improvement of skill and boost the mentality of Special Children.
Annual Games and Sports are organized by NPSET and our students takes parts on the event. We used to organise Workshop for Parents / Guardians / Social Workers. Music Therapy Sessions are conducted by expert in regular basis. Photography Courses organized by us in Durgapur with the help of experienced photographer.

The first step in training special children involves conducting a thorough assessment of each child’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges. This includes evaluating their cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities to create a personalized training plan. An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a similar customized strategy is developed, outlining specific goals, interventions, and methods tailored to the child’s requirements. This ensures that the training approach is relevant and effective in addressing each child’s specific learning needs.
Once the assessment and planning are complete, targeted interventions are implemented. These may include specialized teaching methods, therapeutic techniques, and the use of appropriate teaching aids and tools. The interventions are designed to support the child’s learning and development in areas such as communication, social skills, motor skills, and academic subjects. Regular monitoring and adjustments are made to the interventions based on the child’s progress, ensuring that the approach remains effective and responsive to their evolving needs.
The final step involves ongoing evaluation and support to track the child’s progress and make necessary adjustments to the training plan. This includes regular assessments to measure improvements, identify any new challenges, and update goals and strategies. Continuous support from educators, therapists, and caregivers is crucial to provide encouragement and address any emerging issues. By maintaining an adaptable and responsive approach, the training process remains dynamic and focused on achieving the best outcomes for the child’s overall development.
